A persistent cough revealed lung cancer

Gillian’s routine check for a cough revealed Stage 3 EGFR+ lung cancer.

I’m 64, and I’ve spent the last 12 years as a volunteer adviser with Citizens Advice. I love dancing, shopping, dressing up, and laughing with friends. My partner Tony and I enjoy holidays in the sun, and we’re heading to the Caribbean in November for a relaxing break—24/7 time together! ❤️

Earlier this year, I had a persistent cough that didn’t go away, so after four weeks, I went to the doctor and was given antibiotics for a chest infection. Luckily, the doctor sent me for an X-ray, which revealed my Stage 3 EGFR+ lung cancer.

The cough disappeared, but that scan changed everything. If I hadn’t gone to the doctor, my cancer might not have been caught in time!

Help us raise awareness that anyone with lungs can get lung cancer All You Need is Lungs – share Gillian’s story!
