Shortness of breath revealed Elizabeth's Stage 1 lung cancer

Elizabeth, a 68-year-old style coach, shares her experience and advice for those with lingering symptoms.

I’m Elizabeth, a 68-year-old style coach with a passion for colour and vintage clothing. My husband and I are proud to have four rescue cats that we absolutely adore. Creativity is in my blood—I’m 100 percent artistic, and I’m currently collating my next fashion show for 2025.

My lung cancer diagnosis came after I experienced shortness of breath. Fortunately, there was no misdiagnosis or delay, and I’m grateful for the early detection of my EGFR+ Stage 1 lung cancer.

If there’s one message I’d like to share, it’s this: go to your GP if you have symptoms that won’t go away. It could make all the difference.
