Callum was diagnosed with lung cancer at 25

Callum’s story shows that lung cancer can affect anyone, no matter their age or lifestyle.

I’m Callum, a 27-year-old who loves going to the gym and travelling wherever the sun is.

In 2022, I was diagnosed with ALK+ Stage 4 lung cancer—a huge shock as a non-smoker. I started out with what seemed like everyday issues: a persistent cough, stiffness in my spine, and pain across my chest, neck, and upper back. But after multiple visits to the GP and several blood tests, nothing was picked up.

Despite my symptoms worsening, my diagnosis was delayed. Eventually, I pushed for answers, and that’s when I found out it was lung cancer.

I’m not letting cancer stop me from making plans. I’m excited to travel more, buy my first home, and keep creating memories with the people I care about.

"Always listen to your body. Don’t ignore persistent symptoms—even if initial tests don’t show anything, keep pushing for answers." Callum
